About Us

Edelweiss is a ski, snowboard, and sports club – an affordable, elegant, and fun way to ski or snowboard from the Los Angeles area. Besides our weekend trips on a comfortable bus to Mammoth Mountain during the winter, we offer various sports activities and social events throughout the year. We welcome singles, couples, and families to join us on our ski weekends, once a month, December through April.

Do you want to go skiing without the hassle of putting on chains or having to quit early to beat out a winter storm? Joining Edelweiss is a reasonable way to the slopes. Typically, we’ll leave on a Friday evening from the Van Nuys Flyaway station and return Sunday night after skiing.

Our trips include evening meals and drinks, round-trip transportation from the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita, accommodations, and transportation to and from the mountain each day. If you’re looking to find someone to ski with at your level, you will succeed. We’re a friendly bunch.

Joining Edelweiss is the most affordable way to ski or snowboard because we operate at cost and share condos. It is also a great way to meet other skiers and snow boarders at your level.

As a member of Edelweiss Ski and Sports Club, you are also a member of Los Angeles Sports Council and Far West Ski Association. You can take advantage of their ski trips throughout the United States and the world.

BUS ETIQUETTE:
• Some seats will be reserved for riders joining us at Golden Valley stop
• The rest of the seats are reserved on a first-come-first-served basis and will be your seat for the remainder of the trip
• You may place your belongings on the seat in order to reserve it
• Please stow as much of your gear as possible in the luggage compartments below the bus
• Use the overhead compartment nearest you for additional storage
• Please do not move other people’s belongings

Friday 2/20/26

3:30 pm: Meet bus at Van Nuys Flyaway (7610 Woodley Avenue, Van Nuys)
4:00 pm: Bus leaves for Mammoth
Snacks and drinks will be provided
Pizza Factory dinner orders for Sunday will be collected.
Condos will be assigned (along with “Condo Captains” who will be the lines of communication for any problems or changes in schedule)
10:00 pm: Approximate arrival time to Mammoth Creek Condos (96 Meadow Lane)

Saturday 2/21/26

8:30 am: Bus leaves for slopes – Main Lodge parking lot*
4:30 pm: Bus leaves from Main Lodge for condominiums*
6:30 pm: Appetizers, drinks and dinner in Condo #TBD

Sunday 2/22/26

8:00 am: Check out of condo and load bus. Please place as much of your gear as possible in the luggage compartment.
Condo Captains please make sure condo rules for trash disposal, dishwasher, lights out, and heater settings are followed. Return key to office.
8:30 am: Bus leaves for slopes – Main Lodge parking lot*
4:30 pm: Bus leaves from Main Lodge for home
6:30 pm: Approximate pickup time for dinner at Pizza Factory in Lone Pine
10:00 pm: Approximate arrival at Van Nuys Flyaway

take Red Line Shuttle, bus stop #4
